HSBC Championships, London

The tournament was founded in 2025. It is the first WTA event in over 50 years in West London’s prestigious Queen’s Club. A new women’s tournament at Queen’s occurs a week before the men’s event begins and a week after Roland Garros. The reason for this is that Queen’s is a relatively small club with insufficient courts in its clubhouse to accommodate the number of players for combined men’s and women’s events in the same week.
